HAHAHA... They must have been real desperate... I cannot believe any university would hire him. I guess they do not ask for references or former employers at FL International!

The sad thing is that FIU didn't have to ask for references. They saw the whole thing play out not once but TWICE in the NBA. 03-lmfao

Better them than us. If you are talking about isiah thomas from the pistons. Some would say he is one of the worst gm's in nba history. Back in his playing days, i remember that he clashed a few times with teammates and the piston's front office because of his bad attitude.

He might have been a great player in his day, but if i was a good player today, there is no way in hell i would play for him.

We are VERY lucky that RC didn't know that Thomas was looking for work. There are still more than 6 hours left but any day that goes by without RC saying or doing something stupid, or avoiding a complete disaster is a GREAT day in my book.

he actually did a good job with Toronto and Indiana. His stains came with the CBA (which was already in decline) and the NY Knicks (they were lousy before he got there but he didn't help the situation, then again the expectation there is very similar to KY).

I think it remains to be seen how well he does at the college level, especially with impressionable HS players and parents when he steps out and recruit.

If CUSA is not careful, the Sun Belt is going to replace them as the preeminant conference for washed up coaches.

I still think CUSA has a higher grade of washed up coach.

04-05: 12-17
03-04: 3-22

Isiah Thomas...he should keep the losing tradition at FIU alive!

I thought this thread was a joke, but it is true that FIU is looking into hiring Thomas. It is not a done deal according to ESPN.
