NTR - Frozen Four
miami (oh) had a 3-1 lead against boston university, the no. 1 overall team in the nation, with about a minute and some change to play ... boston tied it up to 3-3 and it's going to overtime ... on ESPN now ... incredible comeback by boston ... miami (oh) has never won a championship in any sport ... which brings me to my question ... have the tigers won a championship in any sport? does nit championships count? if not, which sport have we won a championship in?

RE: NTR - Frozen Four
I know this is funny but we had one of the most dominating hand ball teams the NCAA has ever seen won about 8 to 10 championships between 70 and 88

No official NCAA titles. I believe the handball teams were not NCAA level.

I do remember that the handball team played at the highest college level at the time. I will check out that link. The handball team was killer. I know they won several in a row.

The HandBall team won several in the 80's and if I'm not mistaken we had the best rated player in the country. I can't remember his name//

That too. The tigers were good and four walled indoor sports. They were really good. There were great racquetball players who went on to be great pro racquetball talents.
