Republicans and Democrats are both liars as far as I'm concerned. Say anything to get elected, then forget about their promises once elected. I have no use for either of them and vote Libertarian.

And that is precisely where the problem lies. To the politicians it is nothing but a game. And like every other game broadcast on TV or radio, there are the play-by-play announcers (Limbaugh, O'Reilly, Maddow, etc.) on each side giving their totally biased reports of the action. Unfortunately, this "game" impacts the lives of real people. Funny thing is that all of the game participants and broadcasters are rolling in dough, so the outcome really makes no difference to any of them. All a bunch of bastards in my opinion.

Agree, it's up to us to realize we're being played and keep our eye on the ball. As any marketing department, successful campaign manager or appliance salesman will tell you, we're not very good at focusing on the real issue.

See what I mean..........DNC talking points. Rove didn't commit purjury regarding outing (that in itself is a joke since she wasn't a covert agent) Valerie Plame. The person who outed Plame was Richard Armitage. It even came out in the trial. Of course, you'd know that if you actually paid attention, but like so many libs, you just listen to the DNC talking points and pretend you're informed.

Rove had to have executive privilege protection so he wouldn't have to testify under oath regarding his involvement, why?

Either Will Farrell or Josh Brolin would've been better presidents than the real 'W' - but both would've still been terribly ill-served by Cheney and his puppet, as was the country.

I don't think you're going to get serious debate on that subject these days.

Cheney is a fricking psycopath. He's the worst VP we've had in a century.

If Bush had any balls he would have fired Cheney right after the 2004 elections. If.

RE: Karl Rove celebrates Easter
Didn't matter if he used executive privlege because Armitage was the guy who outed Plame, CASE CLOSED.

Bob Novak, who published the Plame story and who got this who NON-STORY going stated to the Grand Jury that Armitage was the one who told him about Plame. End of story.

Fact is this was a NON-STORY to begin with, and only got traction because of a media frothing at the mouth to get Carl Rove. And why did they hate Rove. Because he beat their beloved candidates twice.

Plame was an analyst at the CIA not a spy. SHE sent her than unemployed husband to Niger. The people in Niger gave him nothing, he came back and tried to talk to the state department about his trip, and they weren't interested because he was a NOBODY and had nothing worthwhile to tell them. He then called a 100 newspapers (this according to Armitage) and told his story, and in fact told who his wife was (hence he outed her too). Finally one paper bit (LA Times). All of this happened before the Novak article even hit the stands.

BS. Why invoke the privilege, it matters and it's relevant? You can cap CASE CLOSED all that you wanted, there was more to that story, it would be silly to suggest otherwise and expect buy in.

Clear evidence you no nothing about the story. (not like I'm surprised)

It went to a grand jury after Novak outed Plame in his column. The grand jury wanted to find out who outed Plame to Novak. The media was SURE it was Rove and began writing their gotch columns. Ooops, turned out to be Dick Armitage. The media and the prosecutor did an Emily Latella.............."Never Mind."

So, dip serves as mouthpiece for Rove's talking points.

If Plame were a Republican, Rove and his minions would be ready to hold anyone responsible:

I have no doubt that Cheney, Rove and Scooter sat down and figured out a patsy to serve as one sourse for the outing.

The President of the United States said he would take action against anyone in the administration who was involved in outing Valerie Plame. Yep, he took action, he pardoned Scooter.

So much for holding someone responsible....

NO KIDDING!! You're all over the map and serving up right wing radio talking points about this deal, not that I'd expect anything more from you.

Mouthpiece for Rove??????? What aren't you grasping?

Novak's article is what got the grand jury started. Novak eventually told the grand jury that Richard Armitage outed Plame. Even Armitage outed her to Bob Woodard (Washington Post) A MONTH BEFORE THE NOVAK ARTICLE.

Quote:Woodward: Well it was Joe Wilson who was sent by the agency, isn’t it?
Armitage: His wife works for the agency.
Woodward: Why doesn’t that come out? Why does that have to be a big secret?
Armitage: (over) Everybody knows it.
Woodward: Everyone knows?
Armitage: Yeah. And they know ’cause Joe Wilson’s been calling everybody. He’s pissed off ’cause he was designated as a low level guy went out to look at it. So he’s all pissed off.
Woodward: But why would they send him?
Armitage: Because his wife’s an analyst at the agency.

Like most libs you debate in platitudes and generalities, while I give you bushels of substance, you give me "Mouthpiece for Rove." Priceless.

Dude, you're the one who said he was a member of the liberal media. I'm just pointing out that once again you're clueless in these political debates.

All over the map? I've given you the entire run down of how this trial went down, and why ROVE WAS NEVER THE ISSUE. It was Armitage. Came out in the trial. What aren't you grasping??????????????? As always you're uninformed when it comes to these political debates, but rather than admit it, you resort to attacking the messenger. I'm sorry it didn't go down the way you thought it went down. I'm sorry Rove wasn't thrown in jail. Camalot II has begun. Enjoy the next 4 years with B.O.

Dude, I was mocking your claim that the media made up this NON-STORY as you tried to allude and all the while, it was a conservative reporter who printed her name from this supposed one person leak and you take it serious like you have me pinned in a corner. 03-lmfao

I'm not attacking the messenger, rather saying that I have a clear understanding of where you get your opinions. You're reciting talk radios' attempt to redefine what happened, it's not working there or here.

Here are some good examples of attacking the messenger. "'m just pointing out that once again you're clueless in these political debates." Or this staple, "What aren't you grasping??????????????? As always you're uninformed when it comes to these political debates, but rather than admit it, you resort to attacking the messenger."

I know you get upset when you're outed being a slappy for right wing talk radio on here, but don't project your attacking the messenger M.O. onto me.
