it was driven and introduced mainly by Democrat Congressmen and Senators.

You know, the guys that control the House and Senate.

It did have some GOP support, mainly out of political fear in an election year.


Keynsian economics, which is what that was mainly, is generally the mainstay of the Left. Which is also why they think Huge Deficits are a good thing.

Whether it was the republicans or the democrats who had the idea is irrelevant. It was wrong then and it is wrong now.

It would still have been wrong then, and it would still be wrong now, no matter whose idea it was or who pushed it.
