Why I believe our perimeter shooting will be
greatly improved next season. In thinking back, one thing that made Malik Dixon such a good shooter was Derrick Fisher. Fish was a very unselfish player, but if Malik was covered, Fish could hit the three point shot. You couldn't totally concentrate on Malik or Fish would burn you.
Next season, as Inside UALR has been preaching for some time, Bozeman will take over the point guard position. He will be the closest thing to Fish we've had. A point guard who can handle the offense, but who will shoot the three point shot when needed, and be fairly effective.
And he will probably be able to get the ball to III and the other shooters at the right time.
So look for III to shoot an even higher percentage next season, because we'll be playing five on five, instead of four against five, as has been our situation for quite a few years now.
