This appears to be good news
The ACCC All-Region (XXII) teams are as follows:

MEN’S ALL REGION TEAM

1ST TEAM
Jarmaine Mollett;Marion Military- Player of the Year
Terrance Mitchell;Faulkner State
Bo Amuse;Bevill State – Fayette
Daviel Clements;Alabama Southern
Brandon Williams;Shelton State
Montrell Thornton;Southern Union Brandon Moore;Wallace State – Hanceville
Chris Walker;Wallace State - Selma
Justin Cummings;Snead State
Ricky Davison;Southern Union

The qualilty of Juco leagues and programs seems to vary widely. Like I said before, Hutchinson (where McBride was at) is known to be a top program. Don't know anything about Southern Union. But having two signees on the first team sounds pretty good.

Southern Union was a "mediocre" (hate to use that word LRTrojan) at 14-12. Top team in the region was Shelton State at 31-2 (definitely not mediocre)

Our signee's stats are as follows (don't know if the columns will copy correctly):

Name G FG Pct 3P Pct FT Pct HI PTS AVG
Davison 26 141-377 0.374 60-189 0.317 95-130 0.731 40 437 16.81
Thornton 26 156-217 0.719 0-0 0.000 98-171 0.573 27 410 15.77

If I'm reading that right, for the love of Mouzy don't let Davison shoot the III!!!

.317? Yikes. Decent FT shooter, though. We could always use those!

He shot 7.3 threes a game. Doubt Steve will let him do that. McBride was the "shooter" but no way he ends up on our campus.

Not even sure were I got that info. I've been playing around on the internet. I believe I figured out what Region or Conference the Jucos were in (I think it was XXII and maybe XIV) and then went to the website for that conference or region. Then I found the All Conference teams with statistics. It's kind of fun trying to find this stuff when you have nothing else to do, but it's not always that easy. I found the not good news about McBride last night. I went to some of the recent box scores from Hutchinson Junior College and didn't see his name. Figured he was injured or dismissed so I typed his name on a Yahoo search, along with those comments and found out he was suspended indefinitely.

Nice work, detective! 04-cheers

That's one thing a don't like about being a fan of a small school. I'm a big sucker for recruiting and smaller colleges and the players they sign just don't seem to get any press. I'm actually amazed at how much info I've been able to get this year.

mjs, PAPPY, and PTJR are all astute fans and students of college basketball. I like to watch it, but don't care for all the research. I do appreciate those that do it, and share it with us.
