I can tell you that the decision was obviously made by the AD, because I happened to see Dr. Anderson at lunch today, and he said he hadn't talked with Chris since the Sun Belt Tournament. That and Chris's statement pretty well confirms what some of you have said, that it would have been Chris's decision.

As I have stated before, I was under the impression when Chris said it was imperative we get to the postseason, he was referring to either the NCAA or NIT, and this confirms that suspicion. So now we know. Anyone feel better about it?04-cheers

No. I feel worse. We could have been in postseason for the first time in 13 years and WE made the choice not to be.

So I guess we're gonna pass on pre-season and holiday tournaments also.

No difference, right..?

I doubt it was, but if the only reason Chris turned down the other tournaments was to put pressure on Shields, that was pretty small, with regard to the players, anyway.

WE did not make the decision. HE made the decision. Thanks a lot. And he still didn't give any reason why we turned it down except that our goal was the NIT. Well my goal was the NCAA, but when that didn't pan out, my goal was the NIT, and when that didn't pan out, my goal was simply some sort of post season play.

As I told someone, this is like a guy who has been wondering lost without water in the desert for 13 days, and a guy offers him a Sprite but he turns it down because he prefers 7up. The decision SUCKS!

I'm with ya. Post-season is refreshing either way.

Well, PTJR, let us know how Little PT enjoys playing a Big East team in the CBI. For some strange reason Richmond didn't think they were "too good" for that tournament.
