Doesn't look like we'll ever get a direct answer
about why we are not in the CIT or CBI, although the available information seems to speak for itself. We apparently put our money behind the women's program.
From everything I have seen Chris is the best AD we have ever had, certainly from a business perspective. He may feel that the men's attendance has reach a plateau, while the women have nowhere to go put up- especially with an NCAA quality team returning next season. Seems like it would make sense to get the community fully aware and excited about next year's women's team.
I guess the other possiblity has already been suggested by others- making it clear to Steve that a minor tournament is not what he wants and he is expecting more out of the men's program. I'm just not sure if expecting more than 23 wins is realistic.

I don't think that anybody ever expected Little Rock to pay for a home game in the CIT for the men. Whatever resources we had for a home game were appropriately spent on obtaining a home game for the women in teh WNIT.
The point is that other than travel expenses, it is my understanding that there is no requirement to pay to be a road team in the CIT. If there was a financial requirement, the AD would have said so and been completely legit when he said our resources needed to go to the WNIT instead. But that is NOT the case, and the reason we haven't heard anything about why we didn't accept the invitation to be a road team in the CIT is probably because there isn't a legit reason we didn't accept the invitation.

I don't think any that is the reason. We did not have the money that we were willing to spend to send the team on the road. Pretty sure we told the two smaller tournaments we were not going to play in them and that was that.
So, who is going to start at the 3 on next year's 20 win team?

Probably Ricky Davison. Curtis Jackson might fit into that situation. And we could still sign someone else during the signing period. We're always recruiting so we don't get caught short, so we might sign Neighbours and another 3 type.

Well we can't say now that it hasn't been made clear.
