Grizzlies owner can't pass up NBA loan

Calling it a deal too good to pass up, Michael Heisley con firmed Saturday that the Grizzlies are one of 12 teams tapping into a $200 million line of credit from the NBA.

Each team is entitled to borrow $13 million to $20 million and is free to use it for any purpose, including to help offset losses incurred in a worsening economy.

“You have the opportunity to borrow at a very affordable rate, and we will exercise our right to get that money,” Heisley said before the Griz zlies’ game against the Philadelphia 76ers at FedEx Forum.

Heisley reassures commitment to Grizzlies

Grizzlies owner Michael Heisley met with some of the team's most loyal fans Saturday night, and reiterated his commitment to a three-year plan and keeping ticket prices in line with the product.

Heisley began a "Chalk Talk" with season-ticket holders by announcing the Grizzlies' plan for keeping customers.
