i will definitely be watching jacksonville take on etsu. it should set up to be a pretty nice game. an interesting question i would like to ask those of you who read this is which team is better suited for a cinderella story. last year belmont almost upset duke in the first round. is it possible either of these teams have a chance? joe lunardi of espn and his bracketology has jacksonville winning the conference and heading to kansas city to take on the memphis tigers. it should be an interesting game that i am looking forward to seeing. i would be remiss in this thread without mentioning the owls, just think, this time next year this conversation could involve our boys. the wait is finally over.

Both are excellent teams, and I think these two teams (along with Mercer) have (had) the best shot of upsetting a team in the tournament. Jacksonville is probably a little better suited in my opinion, but I think ETSU will win the game. Pigram and Tiggs will be highly motivated to finish out their senior season in style. If ETSU had a big man they could really count on they would be a very dangerous 14 or 15.

A lot of times it depends on the matchup...last year Duke matched up perfectly with Belmont. IF either Jacksonville or ETSU gets matched up with a physical post player it will be tough - but you never know what will happen in a one and done situation.

Hahaha - the announcers just said that ETSU is the only university in the country that offers these two majors:

1. Bluegrass
2. Story Telling

and some of their posters call Kennesaw country...hahaha

ETSU flat out dominated this game by the way. My preseason prediction proves correct.

yea, i was hoping for a competitive game, but from the get-go this one was pretty much over. i like the way etsu runs the court. they create many opportunities for themselves strictly by the amount of times they get the ball down the court. if they can get some offensive boards like tonight, they might do something in the tournament. Now im not saying theyre going to upset memphis, but after seeing them tonight, if they can get some semblance of rebounding going, with their athletic guys, they might be able to hang around. i dont know, but it will be interesting to watch. what surprised me tonight was that both tiggs and pigram were in some foul trouble early, but despite that, they still pretty much dominated the entire game. ill be pulling for them, im just glad to see someone other than belmont win for a change haha.
