Traditions during your games?
Our blogger was asking today what we felt our "Game Day" traditions were at FAU.
Sadly I dont think weve had any as of yet, were so young. These things usually take time and happen by accident that catch on.
Think Rocky top singing at Tenn, Bull horn fingers at Texas as examples.
Anyway, it got me to thinking what are some of the traditions at other SunBelt schools? Sadly I have not travelled yet to other schools so I havent seen any. I rely on you all to school me.
Thanks!

RE: Traditions during your games?
We have this annoying tradition of the Student Section emptying out at halftime. Which is preceded by the other tradition of it not filling up until the end of the 1st quarter, or whenever the Bammer/Aubbie game is over. And the tradition of having some old fart behind you telling you to sit down and be quiet.
But the real traditions, I would say, have to do with the Sound of the South. They put on a good show prior to the game, and then march in a big T-Formation down to the endzone and then the players run out of the big inflatable helmet as they play Trojans One and All.
We used to have the Trojan Princess ride her horse on the field during games after a Trojan score. But the new field put an end to that. She was back last year, but not in the stadium.
And the team has a tradition of losing a conference game every year that they had no business losing. ULM last year. How does a team that ended up 3-4 in Conference play, and 4-8 overall beat a team that ended up 6-1 in Conference play and 8-5 overall? ASU three years ago. Pretty much the same thing. ASU ended up 4-3 in conference play and 6-6 overall, while Troy ended up 6-1 in conference and 8-5 overall. In both of those games, we had the lead late, and gave it up near the end.
I would say FAU in 2007, but y'all simply came out in the second half and played extremely well and had all things go your way until the 4th quarter. My Dad was ready to leave, but I told him to wait because I knew we could score quickly if we got the offense clicking. Plus, y'all ended up 6-1 as well, so that was really a toss-up.

They were terrific at the bowl game. Outside of LSU, I can't think of another college band I enjoyed listening to/watching as much as Troy's.

Thank You very much! We appreciate the support! Glad to see other Belt schools enjoying the Sound of the South!

We have a concrete horseshoe that the players touch before the game, the band of blue playing the Tennessee Waltz after the game win or lose, a tennessee walking horse going across the field before the team, polly a few others I'm missing. . .

We've only been the RedWolves one year and the howl is catching on fast. The fight song is sang by the players in front of the student section after every win. The band forms 2 lines on the south end of the field for the players to run between when coming out the inflated tunnel.

After a win the players will gather in the corner of the end zone in front of the Sound of the South and sing "Trojans One and All".

I've wondered this since last year and just never bothered finding out...so...
The part that used to go "I-N-D-I-A-N-S spells victory" What did they change that to?

I was out in Las Cruces one season when we played at NM State. They have a dog that retrieves the kickoff tee.
The dog did get the tee, but also left a present on the field afterwards--- all the while with the tee in its mouth.
