RE: NIU STUNS AKRON!!!
Mullins as a junior and senior was very, very good. We still won't have a solid, set point guard for next year. If it is DiNunno or Hall they will still just be sophs. If it is Smith we are looking at a RS freshmen who missed practice most all year with an injury. I think we may still struggle in that area next year and hopefully we can get buy by committee and with solid skills and smarts in more players on the court around them. By 2010-11 for us to reach what could be a fantastic year we need at least one of them to develop to a Mullins type leader and player. I will agree with that.

So, next season is likely much more of the same?

Yes and No.
Yes, same players = DiNunno, Hall, maybe Patton, Smith
No, shouldn't be the same as this year. They should be better and more experienced. Plus the guys around them should also be better and more experienced which should help take some pressure off the points. Some of the same mistakes will be made because that's just basketball and because they will still be relatively young, but it shouldn't be as often. Then it should be even better the following years.
