Here we go again...
This is starting to get all too familiar. We compete well and win some big non-conference games early in the season, and then we lose to Campbell by 19 at home. What gives?!?!

I agree, it's looking familiar. The rest of the conference season is going to be affected by losing Calvin Henry.

Hoffman has made some nice strides in his short time here, but we'll see the real test in the tournament. The former regime never had a gameplan in the tournament, and was out-coached from the opening tip.

The women's coach won 4 games in her first year with the squad and is now 11-9, 7-4 ASUN. She has really made some huge strides. Hopefully Hoffman can make improvements like this over time.

Sam Mitchell is now available you know.

I didn't realize Calvin didn't play against Campbell. That really hurts. Hopefully he's back full strength for the tournament. But, he was there for the road losses to Lipscomb and Campbell. I really expected us to win those games this year. I thought the team that beat Bama and Auburn and dominated Tech for 30 minutes would be a top tier A-Sun team this year. Here we are again below .500. I'm not suggesting the coach is at fault, I just don't get it. But then again, it's all about getting hot for 3 games in March...we'll see.

BTW...it looks like Sam Mitchell wouldn't mind having the UGA job, but Bobby Knight is stealing all the headlines.

that would be sick. Why in the world would he take the UGA job instead of Mercer someday. Unless Mercer just can't pay him. All I'm saying is UGA isn't much, so why not go w/ his old team where the only way to go is up!

I certainly wouldn't mind seeing him coach Mercer, but the UGA job is available vs. the Mercer job being filled by a first year coach. Not to mention the pay is probably double in Athens. He was at the KSU game chatting it up with his fellow trustees and Pres. Underwood. They had an alumni dinner before the game. He looks like he's in good shape. Hell, I wish he had eligibility left.
