Jeffrey Slatton reports on his blog that road uniforms are getting altered and the new version will be ready for the Florida road trip this week. The maroon numbers outlined in silver will now be silver numbers outlined in maroon. Hopefully we will have another TV game when we are in road uniforms to watch this year, and I don't mean at Hot Springs.

Saturdays Men's game is supposed to be on Trojan Tracker after the Womens game so we should be able to view the new uniforms at that time.

I'm convinced that the reason we never get to the NCAA is those black jersey's, which are not our official team colors. It's like having a black cat on the court with us at all times. We need a voodoo lady to remove the curse, and a Chancellor or AD that says, "Take off those illegal colored jersey's and replace them with the proper colors".

What would happen to a coach at Fayetteville who decided for whatever reason to do away with the pigs red home jerseys, and start wearing black ones, or to take the pig off the red helmet and replace it with a black pig? He very likely would be fired, and he should be. You don't mess with anything pig in Arkansas. The fans wouldn't stand for it. No coach or other official should have the right to change the school colors, or change them around where some other color(black in our case)is the dominant color, and using the official school colors only as trim.

I personally don't even like the school colors, maroon and silver. It's too drab and dark, but it's better than black. The colors are maroon and silver. Let's use them or let the student body vote to change them to something else. As long as we have these, I want to see maroon, not black.

We have a beautiful arena, but I believe it would look even better if the leather seats were maroon instead of black.

I agree that Maroon and Silver road jerseys would be the way to go but several years ago (probably the Montcrief year) they changed the official colors by adding black as a school color to go with the Maroon and Silver. I believe it has been that way in the Media Guide for years. I really have never liked seeing any team (basketball or football) wear black uniforms.

Who are "they"? For years now, coaches have been adding some color as trim on uniforms, but usually don't let that be the dominant color. Black has literally taken over at UALR. I'd still like to know who "they" are who "added" black as an official school color. Usually things like that are done through the student body.

You speak the obvious. I'm trying to remember when that changed. I remember someone saying the reason they wear black is that the players liked that color. If that's the reason, it has to be the most stupid thing I ever heard. Sorry Scotto, but it would be like the Hogs changing to black jerseys because some recruits told Bobby Petrino they wouldn't come there unless they could wear black jerseys. He'd change it in a minute, wouldn't he. Yeah. Right. And if he did, he'd be hanging from some tree in Fayetteville.

Your example is future tense, as in what if. Changing the colors to black isn't what if, it's what we are already doing.

Wow. If we changed them when Sidney was the coach, and then went 4-24, it seems like someone might have thought to change them back to the traditional colors when he left. Maybe that's why we had such a miserable season. God didn't recognize us in those illegal jerseys.
