Huskies vs Chips
While not winning one of the two games @ BSU and @ WMU is disappointing, we have not squandered a home game yet, and as long as that is the case, we are in the MAC West division hunt. NIU must hold serve again this Saturday against a CMU team that beat Ball State this year. NIU should win this one though at home

NIU - 75

CMU - 73

Gonna be at the game, MD? Please keep the weather calm on Saturday so I can be there. Nothing like blowing a wad on season tickets and not being able to go to the games because you keep dumping snow on us!!

RE: Huskies vs Chips
I'm going, I think with my girlfriend. Her brother has only gone to a couple games so far. When she told him we might be coming to Dekalb for the game he said he didn't even know there was a home game Saturday or one the other night. That's really good marketing by NIU. Students should be swamped with the info so there not knowing can't be an excuse for not attending. This actually goes on the thread regarding the question of "where are the students?". Sorry. NIU 68 CMU 60

NIU should beat CMU. The Chips are not good.

RE: Huskies vs Chips
Well, we aren't very good either. And we sway from decent or good all the way to poor on the scale at times.
But, at lease we don't have 3 seniors and 5 juniors. Our experience is less and the future brighter! While their leading scorer is a sophomore, it looks like there next several best players are the seniors and juniors. If we can beat them with our younger guys, that bodes well for the future in that series! Our youth isn't as bad as some on here try to make it or how they see them compared to other team's juniors and seniors. They just struggle because of physical and mental maturity, not because of skill. And we just might win again on Saturday.

I will see my first NIU basketball game Saturday. Also taking my 13 year old son to his first D-1 basketball game. Meeting my college roommate there. Graduated in '85 so I was there during the Kenny Battle years. Should be fun.

Score? What do I know? NIU wins by 15. I'll say 75 to 60.

When the Chips are down, the Huskies will prevail!

That's wonderful. Hope you and your son enjoy yourselves. Please don't let the small crowd scare you into not coming back. Better times are just around the corner!

P.S. If you hear weird noises coming from my and Maddawgz section, just ignore them (but walk by very quickly).

No dont walk by very quickly, because those noises will likely be me getting a scolding for a poor forecast a few weekends ago that could have stranded DF and his wife somewhere on I-88. The verbal tirade will not only be heard by all 6 of us in Section 104, but will also echo off the seats of an empty Convo Center and be heard stadium-wide :-(

Gee...I was just talking about disgusting digestive noises. But, thanks for the idea. I just love administering verbal whippings.

I didnt realize tomorrow was the alumni game until I went on niuhuskies.com. TJ Lux is back again. I wonder if TJ Lux would ever want to get into coaching.

Chips are often invinceable at home but more like sourdough toast on the road.

NIU wins 66-58.
