Someone mentioned that we couldn't even
sign Corliss Williamson when his uncle, Charles Finley, was an assistant coach here. That was definitely a different time. We were playing in Barton, and the Hogs were really big time then, and Corliss was a nationally recruited player.

But how about Trey Finn? His coach's son, Wes Flanagin was on the staff here, and we had a new beautiful arena, and still didn't get him to keep his committment. So those things happen. We only know about the local ones we lose. There are many more that we probably lose from out of state that we never know about. Eighteen year old kids change their mind every five minutes. Nothing you can do about that except work hard in recruiting, get lucky, and sometimes good things happen. Shane Edwards is a good example.02-13-banana
