I have a question - How does the SBC basketball scheduling work? How many times do you play a team in your division and how many cross-division games do you play? In other words, how often does Denver have to travel to FAU/FIU or vice versa?

Well, we have uneven divisions so its kind of funny.

The East teams all play each other twice a year every year. Then the East teams all play one West team a year twice on a rotating basis.

The West teams play each other twice a year also, but the West teams have one team a year from the West that they will only play once, and one East team a year that they will play twice (this is on a rotating basis.)

Clear as mud?

So the end effect is that every Sunbelt team has 18 conference games and the home and homes even out over the course of the rotation.

I think it's without a doubt between ASU and UALR in the West. I think UALR takes it.

I've seen just a couple West teams play this season (UL obviously, UALR, and UNT). From what I saw in person, UNT was the best team. Very athletic and plays great basketball.

I am voting for ualr. We have had good luck against NT over the years. I do think NT has more talent but Steve Shields is the master at beating teams with less talent but more heart.

I am watching a ull and wku as i type. wku is always the best team in the sbc.
