Mountaineer fans are really encouraged by this move. Michigan should have another losing season coming up...

RE: GRob Joins RichRod
While I think Gump is a better D-Coordinator than Head Coach, this move has me scratching my head.
RichRod and last year's DC, now at SU - Scott Shafer - didn't see eye-to-eye because the Head Coach wanted his 3-3-5 defense installed while Shafer wanted a traditional 4-3 with lots of aggression.
So RichRod now hires Gump, whose defensive philosophy matches Shafer's???
Also, I think it was interesting that Gump's best friend in the collegiate ranks snubbed him for Rocky Seto, a 4-year position coach (I think he was the Trojans secondary coach, but not sure).
I don't think this is going to end well for the Wolverines.
What a shame!
Cheers,
Neil

RE: GRob Joins RichRod
RichRod's whole defensive strategy went up in smoke when Jeff Casteel turned him down to remain at WVU. I don't care who he hires. Whoever it is will be sadly lacking when compared to Casteel. IMO, Jeff Casteel is the best DC in the NCAA. But then I'm prejudiced...
