Adaline going to provide quality minutes down the line?
Does he have the skills to contribute at any point? Is his wingspan as impressive as his height?

Hawkins told me his skills were not there at this point. Keep in mind he only averaged 4 points per game at Class D Tawas. But as he said, "In three years with time in the weight room, time to grow into his body, and time to develop, you never know, he could contribute.
Two years ago Kent State had a center who had never played high school basketball. He walked on, developed, and ended up getting drafted.

you can't teach 7 foot. We will just have to wait and see I guess.

That's an impressive accomplishment. If LA works hard he might do the same thing.
I don't ever see him being a big scorer, but he could become a post-defender of note. It's not easy to get a ball past a guy that covers that much territory anyway!

I live in Standish, and attend all the local games. Tawas is the arch rival. I saw Adaline play quite a bit. He was not even a factor in high school. I can not believe he is at Western. Coordination is conspicuously lacking. I guess you cant teach 7 feet, but I would be shocked if he becomes a productive player in the program.
His sister is a superb player. She has all the height, but adds outstanding skill.
