...surprised that NIU coaches are telling recruits the IPF will become a reality in 18 months....
Funding must be reasonably solid to make such a pitch. Yoo would suspect folks with big bucks would be pulling back somewhat with much of their "disposable income" or wealth until times get more certain.

A donation for the IPF is tax deductible, right? I would think that it wouldn't be worth the tax hit for someone to retract a donation.

There could be a lot of money coming for this from former athletes at the school. Perhaps Michael Turner may have already committed $, not to mention Larry English is going to get a decent size payday. So with a few players lined up this definitely becomes a reality. You can probably build a structure like this for 5 mil so it's not like it's a reach to get this going.
I am still waiting to hear from Compher on what our 5 year plan looks like for improvements. Perhaps this will happen at the HASF function on the 31st.

Not to mention Doug Free and Ryan Diem. The hard work of Joe Novak is paying dividends long into the Huskie future. With a decent IPF, NIU can recruit with any non BCS program and some BCS teams.
