The folks in Louisiana really support the I Bowl. The game day atmosphere around the stadium was pretty amazing.

Pretty cool site. I like the transitive property tool that shows how any football team can claim to be better than Florida...

- Northern Illinois beat Bowling Green State on 10/25/2008 by a score of 16-13
- Bowling Green State beat Pittsburgh on 08/30/2008 by a score of 27-17 (on the road!)
- Pittsburgh beat Navy on 10/18/2008 by a score of 42-21 (on the road!)
- Navy beat Wake Forest on 09/27/2008 by a score of 24-17 (on the road!)
- Wake Forest beat Mississippi on 09/06/2008 by a score of 30-28
Mississippi beat Florida on 09/27/2008 by a score of 31-30 (on the road!)
- Florida is the 2009 Div 1-A champion

So ... Northern Illinois was the best Div 1-A school for the 2009 college football season!

Interesting Facts:

Of the 120 College Football Div 1-A schools, all but 5 (Southern Methodist, Washington, Washington State, North Texas and Western Kentucky) can claim to be the best through the Transitive Property.

The story on recruiting was right on...meaningless.. Good reading for those that worry about star rankings...Bottom line ignore the ranking services..
