Head coaches within the major conferences make astounding compensation sums. So too do many of their top assistants. It is yet another validation point to the argument that there is huge and increasing gap between the big fish and the little fish in college football. Hence also why it is not surprising at all that a conference like the MAC has become Triple A league of sorts for up and coming coaches. Urban Meyer, Brian Kelly, Brady Hoke....and soon to be followed by Turner Gill and Cubit.
