I believe the reason we're all so bummed out so far is that our expectations for this team was greater than at any time in the past few seasons. A veteran team with the league supposedly down, the Hogs supposedly down, and we thought this might be the time to make our move up the respectibility ladder. Well is hasn't happened. Obviously Western isn't down, by our standards, the Hogs upset Oklahoma and Texas within a week, and our wins have been against bad teams, and we lost games we thought we'd win, our offense is still boring,
And most of our wins are by the skin of our teeth. As you said, we had JJ's rebounding records to be proud of. This team isn't doing anything particularly well. That about sums it up.

It is very, very discouraging. And I think all of you will admit that I have been pretty upbeat over the years. I don't live and die with basketball, but you would like the team at least to play really well for a continuous stretch ever once in a while.
