VMI Round II
Looks like the Camels gave another good effort on the road last night in Lexington against the Keydets. Not saying a 12-point loss is good but looks like we're being competitive. Hopefully we'll be ready to go in the ASUN.
Bigger concern is this: My contacts in the Creek are telling me the games at the new Gore Arena have not drawn in Students in the numbers hoped. The community has been turning out. I know the BC has changed a lot but a week night game w/ free admission should be a nice outting for the student body. There cannot be that many entertainment options.
Maybe Dr. Wallace will impose mandatory attendence and roll check ala, CEP.

RE: VMI Round II
That 12-point loss (76-88) looks alot better than what could have been.....VMI was up 82-55 at one point. I really wasn't expecting a win...I was very impressed with the 1st half play, but that 2nd half was rough. Leading scorers were Celestin, Bailey, and Dodson (2 sophs and a freshman). First time in 43 games J-Rod was held to single digits.
Campbell is now #261 according to Sagarin, dropping just a couple of places after last night's loss. Out of 345 teams, #261 is the highest we've been in several years and the A-Sun is up this year, too.
The FGCU/Stetson trip will be interesting to watch. Both will be tough, but win-able.
Student attendance should be a little better in Jan/Feb. I've learned that a full parking lot at our new place certainly doesn't mean a full house inside. Students might be the difference.

No excuses for the students not to be there; what are they doing? Watching TV?
