USC Fans Must be Mad
I would be upset if I were a USC fan. Despite their impressive performance, they can go no farther. I hope enough disgust and disappointment is generated to enact a playoff.

RE: USC Fans Must be Mad
I read something yesterday that said Joe Paterno has been for a playoff since 68. That killed my hope that we'll ever see one. It's never going to happen unless the "have nots" finally get the courage to stand up for a true playoff. If we were ever to go undefeated, we have the hope of maybe playing in a BCS game, but we're kidding ourselves to think that we can ever make the "championship" game.

Yeah, they need a playoff.

But screw usc. They cheat all the time, yet nothing is done about it. All they have to do is buy some more better players for next year if they want to win the championship.

What i'm wondering is if we were to go undefeated two years in a row, would we get in a championship game then? Fat chance of that happening, but i would bet the answer would still be no.

We still watch college football. We as fans don't do enough to punish either the BCS or the NCAA. Or the NFL for that matter.

Do we really want change? It doesn't sound like we do.

I've watched or will watch about 5 bowls out of 34 bowls (or however many there are), so i don't think that really is that good for a guy who is a football and basketball junkie. I don't care about most the matchups, and the games seem meaningless to me unless your team is involved. I watched the few i was interested in, and i will watch a fired up tebow after being dissed in the heisman lead florida in stomping oklahoma.

USC can suck it but now Utah has a right to complain.

Definitely. Utah has a right to complain. It didn't surprise me they beat bama, but they would have their hands full with florida. I just don't think they could beat them.

In 1998, i truly believe tulane could have hung in there with utk, but that didn't happen either. Instead a florida state team is there with tons of injuries to key players. Utk was not that good that year, just very lucky.

USC fans will have forgotten about this about 5 minutes after the game. They'll get in their Porshes and order a mocha latte from Starbucks.
