I haven't seen Life. Not to hijack the thread, but does anyone follow the TV version of Friday Night Lights?

I don't, but did you know Whitney Macauley (of Rice WBB basketball fame) had a short stint on the show as a football player's sister?

Cool. Didn't know she went to Rice. Her 'brother' would be Brian 'Smash' Williams, the cocky but loveable running back who just got a walk-on scholarship to A&M.

Awww, c'mon 69/70/75, didn't you even want to know who shot JR?!

It doesn't go back quite that far. Probably Law and Order with the guy before Sam Waterston. Lost interest after the change.

I'm currently a huge fan of The Big Bang Theory. It's a Geek's version of "Friends".

I like it too. But i watch way too much TV - maybe I need to go back to work. I blame the DVR for giving the option to watch everything instead of having to make choices.

It's one of my favorite shows, too. Jim Parsons, who plays Sheldon, is from Houston. There was an interesting article at Slate on whether Sheldon is supposed to have Asperger's Syndrome.

Oh my... he's textbook, at least from my interpretation... and I have some experience with it... The whole inability to read people or have appropriate emotional responses/empathy is straight out of the textbook

I think my favorite episode is the one where Penny gives Sheldon the Christmas gift.

That's pretty much what the article said, though the show's never made it explicit. Apparently, Sheldon is becoming a hero among Asperger support groups.

I remember when Penny and Sheldon were shopping for a birthday present for Leonard, and he was questioning the whole process. One of the others told her, "Just tell him it's a nonrational social convention." She did, and he just replied, "Oh, OK."

Anyone watch tonight's ep? It was pretty great-- Bobby comes to the end of his tenure as Crews's temp partner, and looks like he's going to be replaced (in that respect) by the incredibly attractive Gabrielle Union.

I'm all for bringing on a sexy body to replace the (5 months preg) Sarah Shahi, but I really liked the chemistry with Bobby and Crews reuniting.
