Replacing current BE member
If you could replace ONE and ONLY ONE current BE member who would it be? Could be FB or BB school. Who would you replace them with? Assuming EVERY SCHOOL is available and would agree, a FB school could be replaced by a BB and vica versa.
I think I know what the most common choice would be but I'd like to see anyway

I wouldn't replace anyone, I would consider adding a new member or two.

I am torn between DePaul and Seton Hall for jettisoning. Seton Hall is a great contributor to BE bb, but I really believe that if they were in the A10, they would go dancing virtually every year.
Obviously, the school to add would be Penn State but being realistic I would add Memphis.
Cheers,
Neil

Providence or Seton Hall (don't care which one) for Memphis. In a perfect world though ND would join for football...

I would ask ND to play football or leave. ND could keep the conference together but they won't, so I would replace ND with Memphis.

Depaul for Memphis... simply because i think i 9th football team in the big east giving us a full schedule and true round robin (every league except the PAC Ten and us play 8 games in conference...PAC Ten plays 9 we play 7). That being said... i feel i CUSA bound with Depaul and i miss the days of Tommy Kleinschmidt...so don't ask me to kick anyone out.

RE: Replacing current BE member
Depaul has the Chicago market though, it's a nice little recruiting tool plus media outlet...Providence and Seton Hall have nothing to offer that the Northeast schools like St. Johns and UConn don't

Louisville, Cincinnati, and South Florida should be replaced with Boston College, Penn State, and Temple.
After that Notre Dame, DePaul, and Marquette should be shown the door. They can meet up with Xavier, Dayton, St. Louis, Drake, and Creighton.

RE: Replacing current BE member
Seton Hall makes the most sense because it's the only true duplicate market in the Big East footprint (Rutgers has NJ covered).
Again though, you'll never kick anybody from the Big East until something happens to upset the 8 Football vs. 8 Catholic voting stalemate. If you want to replace a member, it'll have to be replaced by the same type. If you want to add a member, you'll also have to add a member of the opposite type. That's how it's always going to be in the Big East, unless there's a split.

RE: Replacing current BE member
Since BC bolted, Syracuse is the only original Big East school that plays football left. So if the Orangemen leave this league will split; I really think they're the glue that holds this conference together. They kind of fit in the Big 10, but that would be weird.
