"Heidi" job by CBS
Haven't seen anyone mention it yet but in the Savanah GA area CBS switched to the Kentucky - Indiana game with a couple of minutes left in regulation. Who makes these stupid decisions? They switched back once during a time out for about 10 seconds.

Just wondered if any other areas had this problem

It's one of those dates that stick in your mind of exactly where you were when something significant occurred.

My Mom made me go with her to West Memphis to visit someone.

She promised I'd be able to watch the AFL game between the Jets and Oakland.

I was so pissed off when they cut away to Heidi. LOL

Here in Knoxville, we missed the entire first half on CBS because the Tennessee All-Star Highscool East West Football game went an hour longer than it should have. I was pissed. I think some UT fan at the station did that deliberately.

Was not a problem here but its up to the local stations what to switch to. Great decision with the 800 to 2 start in the Klantucky game.

Not suprised up at UTK.

Part of the thing that was so wrong about that was that they cut away from a football game to show Heidi of all things. If they cut away to show another game it's more understandable. It also wouldn't have been as bad if the score stayed the same but it didn't.

Heidi Game for those who don't know.

The censors won't let me post a link to the Bambi game. 03-lmfao

On Sunday, CBS did the same thing with me for the Broncos-Panthers game. They said they were switching to the Ravens-Steelers game because it was "more comptetive"! 03-banghead

I remember the game like it was yesterday. I was a Raider fan as a kid. Baseball ruled the day at that time and I really didn't follow the NFL. I started watching the AFL as a cult follower and my team was the Raiders. Darrel Lamonica the mad bomber was a blast to watch.

I didn't become a Bears fan until I went to Memphis State. I was shooting pool in the recreation room at Central Towers and everyone was making fun of the Bears when they were playing Monday Night Football (everyone assumed I was a Bears fan). They were playing the Chiefs. It was one of Dick Butkus' last games. A couple Chiefs were talking some trash with one of the Bears and Butkus limped over to them to break it up and it was like the parting of the Red Sea. The good ole days.
