I believe y'all got 7,500 tickets. I'd be amazed if y'all already have 5K. That's about the same number that we had pre-sold prior to last weekend (when we were unofficially official).

Local paper reported each school has 12,000 tickets to sell.

"selling" 12,000 is way over the top for NIU .

Realistically selling 7,000 vs 4000 butts in seats in actual attendance are two different matters.

Damn and why did I decide to bring my girlfriend. :domokun:

C'Mon Bleeds, if you don't do something to ward off those southern chicks, they're gonna be on you like the Armies of Mordor were on Viggo G*##amn Mortensen at Helm's Deep.

You're only doing what any sane man would do in your shoes.
But he was able to fight them off and win the day. I would have to give each and every one of the girls a stabbing with my sword and vanquish them.

The southern belles won't be latching on to you with THAT kind of talk!03-lmfao
True we are talking about the south. Maybe I should use my pump action shotgun.

Make sure to double **** that thing. Don't strain your wrists, as the mechanism may be a bit rusty.
I'm hoping one of the southern ladies offers assistance in skeet shooting. Them clay pigeons don' stand a chance!

The best way to bring out the crowds for NIU is by arranging carpooling at various meeting spots.

Gas is cheap. Hotels are expensive.
If NIU fans carpool from as many different areas as possible, facilitated by a University authority.
The 13 hour drive will be very doable for thousands of additional fans.

Myself, Flames, and NIUHuskies86 have it as a three day trip with a stop in Carbondale and one night in a hotel in LA. It's not my house, but if anybody wants a place to stay on the way down on Saturday night talk to Flames.

And if anybody is interested in that, we may have an extra spot in our car.

RE: How Many Will Travel to the Indy Bowl?
Don;t know who these cryptic names of people are but for flames or sterlingman or whoever is looking to carpool to Shreveport I want to go and offer my cash and charming personality as company for the tedious long drive. Two years ago I took a greyhound to San Diego and although the expereinced traveller that I am I must admit that was a tiring experience and it didn't get any better coming back and spending the night on the floor of the Denver bus station due to snow in 06. I've been on excruciating but exciting rides before from Tetuoan to Cassablance and Srinigar, Kashmir to Leh Ladakh but the three decades that have passed since that time made me think that a trip on greyhound would be easier than it was or going from Bloomington to Louisiana might be. I still might just go by bus again but would rather enjoy a car trip and stimulating conversation than a public bus. Of course I need to know where you might be staying if in a campground, sleeping in a vehicle, or cheap hotel(which doesn't appear to exist in Louisiana). In San Diego I stayed at a place in the gas lamp quarter for 19$ a night that included all you can eat pancakes in the morning. Google AYH and you'll see there are several hostels in San Diego but not one in the state of Louisiana. In my younger vagabond days I first learned of hostels in Europe though we have them in America. From the class of 1974 and a fan of Northern football from the days of John Spilis of NIU and Green Bay Packer fame. Dave
