RE: 100 Club Classic predictions
Kevster, thanks for contributing to the local economy, that is more than you do on these boards :) ZING!

As far as the 100 Club Classic...hoping for 2-0...really think we have a chance at this first game but it will be a very tough. We have a good chance to go 1-1 either way...0-2 would be a rough start, but not at all unreasonable for this young team. Let's just cheer our team on this first game, and hope for the best. These young guys are going to have some exciting and fun moments.

RE: 100 Club Classic predictions
So I'm going to be a homer for a minute here. Most times I'm an objective fan, but screw that for right now. I am so pumped for the game tomorrow night. The curtain is about to be lifted on this season and I cannot wait. In my brief stint following owls basketball (this will be my 4th season), I have not been as excited for any season as I am for this one. If the black and gold game and the exhibition against North Greenville is any indication the Convocation Center should be rockin'! I don't think it's a stretch, based off of what I saw at the NGU game, to see the lower bowl of the arena completely full. I tell you what man, between the preseason stuff for the owls, and getting hooked early on the atlanta hawks hot start (lost a heartbreaker last night in boston for their first L on the season) I have basketball fever. It's a wonderful time right now. you have the owls starting tomorrow, the upstart hawks, and id be remiss to not mention the falcons. What a year, and what a time to jump on the bandwagon. Hopefully, the owls will be able to create their own bandwagon.

RE: 100 Club Classic predictions
saying most of the students were at the soccer game last week, we had a good crowd for an exhibition. I kinda feel bad about the soccer team. I feel like i jinxed them. When they announced we were winning at one point...i said to my friend...dont bother going to the soccer game, they'll just blow the lead, and lose in penalty kicks. oh well

But for the game this Friday, i'm expecting a good crowd.

yea i feel like i jinxed them too owlzfan84 but for a different reason. i was there and ksu went up early and i was like well they have that wrapped up. so i went over to the convocation center to catch the second half of the basketball game. i got a text with a few minutes left in the game saying that belmont had tied it up. i rushed back over to the soccer pitch just to see us fall in penalty kicks. haha soccer's entertaining, but forget that! its basketball season! LET'S GO OWLS!

RE: 100 Club Classic predictions
Jacksonville handed them the worst closing to a season ever in 2006, KSU was winning 1-0, outshot them 38-3 throughout the whole game. Jax scored with 30 seconds to go in regulation and then put in another one in overtime to win and end the conference run against 6th seed (eventual champions, weird) Jax.

PK's is the worst way to end a soccer game having played a few myself. I like hockey's OT the best. Go till you die. Baseball, in some extent gets it right, but it's just not as grueling.

RE: 100 Club Classic predictions
Glad to see the excitement of some ya'll matches mine. It is good to have other fans that can be realistic and not lose any enthusiasm. Lets hope the 'The Nest' is rockin, and that our young guns start off the season with great intensity and effort. Some of these new guards really get me excited for the future of Kennesaw Basketball, and if our bigs can ever get healthy this year we could make a run during conference play. Next year we will have some experience at guard, and a solid big man rotation....and we will be eligible for the conference tournament :)

I have ASun.tv loaded and ready to go. Even though I won't be there in person, I will be there in spirit tomorrow night. Go OWLS! Make sure that people come back to the boards after the game and post. Also, keep spreading the word. Let's keep this board growing.
