He better. Fayetteville is home to Ft. Bragg, which is home to the 82d Airborne Division and the JFK Special Warfare Center. Camp Mackall, pretty much a part of Bragg, is where SFAS is held. Bragg is one of the two most populous Army installations in the world. The other being Hood. This was a STUPID move on that *****'s part. Most of you probably know, I don't care to much to see the military f'ed over.

No idea, just pointing out that if it was a coincedence it was some kind of great timing for the dems. Right at the very start of the fall campaign as McCain was actually leading in the polls then the market goes crazy... Had McCain not picked Palin he'd lost by double digits b/c much of the base would've stayed home or 3rd party, last straw type of thing ideologically with the bailout.

Paulson is a Democrat and from Goldman, bailing out his buddies.

see "Working Paper 666" the Minneapolis Fed issued, rebuking the national Fed and Paulson on the claims they made. I linked it some thread here, its interesting.

my point, is as far as politics goes the timing was perfect for it to become an issue and market go crazy.
