Wyoming is a bottom MWC team as well and they'll probably lose their coach at the end of their season too. He has been on the hot seat for a couple of years now and I don't think this signature win will save his job.

I knew they were FBS, but I'd honestly forgotten they were an MWC team.

Montana and Wyoming are very similar programs

Montana probably has the better program.

Montana will be a great addition to the WAC once the MWC scoops up Boise St. It's really only a matter of time now. I say next 2-3 years.

If I was a CUSA fan (thank god I'm not) I would be very worried about MWC expansion, especially with the way the league has performed in OOC this year.

Why would MWC expansion worry a CUSA fan? Do you enjoy being laughed at?

They have a large fan base considering the population of the state. I live up there now, two hours away from the school and everyone is rocking Montana gear, bumper stickers, everything almost like they were in this town.

In the 70's and 80's my sister and her family lived in Missoula, thus I often visited them and I really enjoy it up there. I also became a fan of the "Griz" and normally only rooted against them only when they played the Boise St (since I'm an Idaho Boy from the Boise Valley and have lived by far the majority life here). I had some friends that moved to Whitefish in the 80's and always thought I would visit them but never did and have since lost touch with them.
But from all of my years following the Griz, I can say they have always had very good fan support...
