What is the Media fascination with Golden?
During the Temple - Ohio game, there were by my count, 14 separate shots of Al Golden on the sideline, compared to 5 shots of Solich, and that was just the first quarter! Whenever Temple had a play of note, up pops Golden on the screen. Whenever Ohio had a play, up pops Golden on the screen. 03-puke

What is the fascination with watching Al grimace, pace, plead with referees, smirk when a call goes against Temple? He and Steve Spurrier must have the same agent. A casual observer would think that Golden had actually won something in his career.

They had the same fascination with Urban Meyer when he was at BG and Utah.

Are the showing shots of Al's wife like they used to do of Shelly?

I don't understand the urban Meyer comparison. Meyer actually won games at Utah & BGSU.

Couldn't win the RIGHT games at BGSU - no MAC West titles when he was here.
i.e. His BCS record was nice - but when you lose to other MAC teams, you don't win the MAC titles and go bowling
(Gary Blackney took his first two teams that he inherited from Moe to bowl games)

He won the correct games at Utah though.

Golden is going to do things at Temple. He already has them playing competitively

Ugh, flashback to bellbottoms, long sideburns, houndstooth jackets and really bad plaid. :discoaintdead:
