Predators been busy on the Pakistan border..
We keep on getting the AQ #3's and #4's, meaning that we are rolling up their operational wing, and may have an inside AQ intelligence source, or someone in the Pakistan Tribal Areas making a nice income calling in tips.
Lets hope that we bag the big one because you know Obama will pull the plug on this operation if he gets elected.
ISLAMABAD, PAKISTAN — A missile from a remotely piloted American aircraft is believed to have killed a senior member of al-Qaida in South Waziristan, said a former member of a militant group.
Khalid Habib, an Egyptian who was chief of operations in Pakistan's tribal region, is described by the CIA as the fourth-ranking person in al-Qaida's hierarchy.
The attack, on the village of Taparghai, killed four people, some of them Arabs, according to initial reports Thursday.
A Pakistani intelligence official declined Friday to confirm the death of Habib.
An American official involved in the campaign against al-Qaida in Pakistan said he could not confirm the report that Habib had died.
A resident of the village said in a telephone interview that the man killed in the attack seemed to be "important."

Considering GWB didn't give a crap about Osama, he sure is making an effort to get him all of a sudden. I just can't figure out why he would do that. Oh yeah, there is an election coming up. If he catches OBL before the election, McCain gets a boost in the poles.

It might be too late. I think only 7 percent of the electorate still are undecided.

No, it's good for the economy if we have to keep buying Predator missiles.

No, its Predator UAV's which are manufactured by General Atomics, a privately held company.
The Predator fires laser guided Hellfire missiles which are pretty effective at destroying small buildings and vehicles. Hellfire missiles are made by Lockheed- Martin (LMT on the NYSE which closed Friday at $90.75 a share).
A Hellfire missile costs about $65,000

Check your facts. William Jefferson Clinton could've had Osama Bin Laden who was under indictment for the 1st bombing of the WTC handed to him on a platter by Sudan.
He and Sandy Berger turned them down. Might be why Berger stole those papers and destroyed them. Huh?
Berger lost his law license (much like WJC) over that one.
Revisionist Historian that you are. LOL

Warm...warmer..warmer....hot...really hot....very
It takes years to get to the inside... they are starting to look at the other people in the room with them.... which makes noise in different circles...which makes noise....
The very select CIA and MI6 know what they are doing.... with few bureaucrats to load them down until January, I fear.

Another aspect is compartmentalization. If you are in a walled compound in North Warzistan, guarding "someone" nearby, you may not know who you are guarding in the compound down the road.
You certainly don't have a cell/sat phone on you. In fact anyone caught with a cell/sat phone or transmitter that isn't expressly authorized to have one will be shot on sight.
The AQ top leadership knows that there are UAV's and recon sats watching and listening everything that is going on the area. They also know that large security details stick out like a sore thumb. They do everything to minimize visability. There is some discussion that they are held up in a larger town such as Rawalpindi in an apartment building where comings and goings are slightly easier to disguise.
I'd look for small groups of Arabs and/or Chechens. They would be easy to spot where the majority of the populations were Pashtuns.
