It would say that Miami should be ranked AHEAD of Gregg Brandon's program.

Jerry Kill has been great but let's keep things in perspective. We lost almost no one who saw any significant playing time from last year. There's a lot of talent back on this roster. We're healthier and a year older. And we finally found a way to win a close game. There's a long way to go. Our schedule gets tougher from here on out. Oh, and Chandler Harnish and Meco Brown have been exciting freshmen.

As far as the rankings, I'd flip 6 & 7 and 8 & 9, but they look good. The best 4 teams are in the West.

Check out Akron, no one thought they'd be at the top of the MAC East. Of course, the season isn't over with but they certainly aren't going to finish in last place.

They needed miracles to beat the teams at the bottom of each division. Their luck will run out soon enough.

Why so negative, Zibby? Your Bulls just beat an improving Army team and Buffalo hasn't lost to a team in its division yet. The fact that you played CMU and WMU so close suggests your team is as good as any in the East.

We didn't need any luck getting by Greg Robinson's Syracuse squad.

They looked terrible against Army. And they didn't "play WMU close," they choked away a big lead. The East division is so horrible that if any team was even close to decent, they'd be running away with it.

That's certainly an accomplishment.

Dear Zibby,

I would love nothing more than to watch Greg Robinson give you the reacharound of the century. You are such an incredibly arrogant tool.

Love,
The University of Akron

Are you seriously going to tell me that a punter picking up a blocked field goal and running for a first down isn't a miracle? Bowser's catch against Kent may also qualify. If either of those things don't happen, you're in fifth place.

Give Bowser credit for the catch. It was a hell of a play that he made especially on 4th down.
