USC lays an egg. How bad does that make OSU look? The other undefeated BCS teams must be licking their chops tonight.

It makes Ohio State look bad and Penn State look real good.

Every year USC just lays a complete egg. They don't get them ready to go for somebody and they coast just long enough they can't quite make it all the way back at the end.

I was reading an article, I think it was before the season started, about the USC culture and how they get them so fired up for the big games. They absolutely turn the locker room into a madhouse, get the kids foaming at the mouth ready to play. Point was kind of that they don't do that for the Oregon State's of the world and USC has a bad tendency to just come out flat and sleepy when they hit the mediocre Pac 10 teams.

Sort of hinted that their greatest strength, the ability to motivate and win the big games impressively, is kind of their undoing during the grind of a conference schedule.

They laid that egg you're talking about against Stanford last season.

I do think its got to be difficult when everyone in the PAC-10 is gunning for USC all the time. USC still wins those PAC-10 titles pretty easily.

But, i'm no USC sympathizer so them losing doesn't hurt me at all.

Every pundit, every year, says USC will lose to some middle of the road Pac 10 team. And they always seem to be right...
