To take a slight diversion from the bailout/rescue/fleecing topic, has anyone seen this topic recently? I had not heard that US troops will be deploying for training (including non-lethal crowd control). Actually, I had been hearing about the Marines (in particular) having small groups go through actual urban scenarios in various cities throughout the nation. Not sure if this is related or not. But this is a whole infantry brigade doing its active duty service in the US.

Could be at Fort Irwin.. National Training Center

Could be at Fort Polk.. a large Military Operations on Urbanized Terrain (MOUT) complex is located there. MOUT training is necessary to prepare forces for dealing with Urban Warfare... like Downtown "Tehran" or "Islamabad".

IMO somebody has watched "Seven Days In May" or listened to Art Bell and Alex Jones a bit too much.

Tin Foil Hat time!

Besides FEMA is supposed to run all these "detention centers." Given their track record of F'ing up the distribution of ice and water twice in three years, do you trust these guys to build and operate prison camps? I bet they don't even nail the barb wire to the 2x4's and you could easily escape.

Keep in mind that al Qaeda has struck on US territory in the first year of the presidency for both presidents Clinton and Bush. They will almost certainly attempt to do that again, especially with the economy in its current state.

If they sent suicide bombers into Goldman Sachs, Lehman Brothers, and Morgan Stanley, do we cheer or get upset?

My reaction would be the same as if it were a post office.
