For that to be true, during "W's" term either the Executive Branch would have to unilaterally relaxed financial market regulations, or the House and Senate passed laws relaxed said regulation w/o a single Democrat vote neither is true... SO Pelosi is a LIAR!!!!

Pelosi's statement is amazing since she comes from California, a state in almost constant economic turmoil and is historically controlled by democrats. California, a VERY deomcratic state, has the 7th largest economy in the world yet there's a leftwing driven movement to raise taxes because we're spending more than we take in. How is she going to blame that on "W"?

Barney Frank has been a disaster as House Banking chairman. He has failed his country. Sure the heads of government agencies should get the blame and W will get blasted in media for appointing such morons, but the Congress should share much of the blame. They knew about this mess for two years and failed to stop it.
