vs San Diego
The massacre by arguably the PFL's top team begins at 12 noon.

Weather should be great.....sunny and 70s. (Kinda hoped for another oppresively hot and humid day like the season opener to wear down those West Coast players.)

After football, there's volleyball in the new convocation center vs Belmont at 3:00. Finally, we can go in!!

Will the volleyball game cost to get in? I would like to go in the arena after the football game. Do you guys think the attendance will be off compared to game 1? Hopefully it wont be.

I expect attendance to top out between 4,000 and 4,500 this week. I just don't think seeing a massacre and the way our team has played will draw in many fans this week. Hopefully I'm wrong.

Now, I'm not so sure if volleyball will be played in Gore or in Carter. A preview article on gocamels.com indicated last night's vb home opener would be in Gore, but the results article said it was in Carter. (They changed the preview article to say "Carter", also.) We'll see.

Saturday is Parents Day, so that might keep those fb attendance numbers up.

Indeed, Saturday is parents day and I believe a Visitation day (My roomie is a administration counselor he said he had one every game) so I expect a pretty good crowd.

RE: vs San Diego
I will be at the game to support the Camels.

They will need all the support they can get against San Diego.

I just hope we score and hold them under 60 or so.

It could be that bad on Saturday. I understand that Smith is out for several weeks and we lost several Offensive Linemen.

We got a rude awakening to Div 1 football last week and the home fans will see that this week as well. We played with the Division III schools and matched up pretty well. It will be a mismatch against San Diego. We are really playing over our heads and need to expect some of these games for the first few years until we get some more experience and get to the level of some of the teams we are playing.

I am just glad I have a football game to go watch on Saturday and will support the Camels not matter what the outcome. Some of the fair weather always follow a winner fans will leave but many of those really don't understand football or what it takes to have a winning team. It will take awhile. We may not win a game all year. It will get better, it will just take some time.

See ya'll at the game.

The score may not indicate it but I thought the team played well and showed great improvement against San Diego. The team is still not a great team but the young players are learning quickly. Maybe we can pull off a surprise later in the season.

I would have to agree. They did much better than I expected and really played hard. They are young and are getting better. Maybe they can pull one out as the year goes on. I also thought we had a good crowd today as well seeing as we have not won a game yet and the last two were blowouts.

Went to the volleyball game at the Convocation Center. Looks great. Can't wait until basketball season.

When Drake gets the game film, they'll be interested in how you found so many holes in the USD pass defense.

Good job today.

RE: vs San Diego
I would not have thought so with all the pre-season hype, but I was much more impressed with Jacksonville other than San Diego. In my opinion the Dolphins were a much better team. The 52-0 score was not an indication of how bad the loss really was. Against SD,they were too one dimensional and much easier to defend. I think the Dolphins may fool a few people but the D2 Pembroke State beat them last Saturday so go figure.
