SNL's spin on Palin & Clinton
good stuff

I'm not a huge fan of SNL these days and, as comedy, most of it was pretty obvious. But I have to admit that enjoyed this piece quite a bit. Hopefully, SNL will get edgier as the horserace continues. I don't particularly care which side gets needled the most, just as long as it's not the kind of lame pablum the late night talk shows try to pass of as political comedy.

I think the Republicans chose Sarah Palin as a running mate solely for the purpose of Tina Fey being able to play her on SNL.

Tina Fey = Sarah Palin. Perfect.

Fey's take on Palin, physically, was incredibly spot on. Almost creepy.

I'm not much of a Amy Poehler fan, but she did an admirable job with Hillary, too.

It's creepy that she looks so much better when she's impersonating someone else.

For anyone wondering: flirge or flirg

145Owl: I've never understood the lust for Tina Fey, but I'll admit she's a lot more attractive impersonating Palin, that's for sure.

Great impersonation by Fey. For a second or two, I thought she really was Sarah Palin. Scary good. If McCain gets elected we'll have four years of Fey impersonations and that would be great.

Since it started...Id say her impression was as good as any ever done on the show.

OK, I'll give you that. But "one of the best bits ever" seems a stretch to me. I don't know if it would make my top 50 of just the Belushi/Aykroyd era.

Oh no doubt...The early stuff was comic genius. I was mainly referring to the impression. Belushi was one of a kind...the Samurai bit was the greatest.
