How would people feel about trying to add them to the SBC?

Although some of the Tech fans label me a 'Tech Hater' these days, I personally have no axe to grind with Tech. With that said, I think the SBC's future is better without Tech in the mix. The divorce is over so we all need to just let this go!!!

Well Manzowolf it's because you try to find any quote possible to incite hate amongst anyone who will listen against Louisiana Tech. One person says teams should lighten their schedule load by scheduling ULL and you turn it into the whole Tech nation thinking they are better than everyone else. If you don't have an ax to grind than cut all the hostility dude. We get it enough from all these so called Southern Miss freaks.

Funny stuff. Tech fans just can't accept the truth. I got a ban from the Tech board for simply pointing out it wasn't Southern Miss that kept Tech out of CUSA, it was UTEP's better support, budget, venues and market.

It was also very funny at the amount of Tech fans who showed up on the Louisiana board attempting to talk smack about a game they were not even involved in, during very civil discussions among Eagle and Cajun fans.

LA Tech can stay in the WAC and die. We don't want them in CUSA, and now that the Sun Belt is becoming a very good conference, adding Tech would be a step down. The program was ignorant for leaving the Sun Belt in the first place.

RE: La. Tech
As we can clearly see from this small but very representative sampling of responses, Louisiana Tech fans do not want to rejoin the Sun Belt and the vast majority of Sun Belt fans are not interested in being rejoined by Louisiana Tech, so the two sides will quite contentedly continue to pursue their futures on different paths. C'est la vie.

From all what I have read and heard, I think LT is happy with the WAC currently. I believe they have made profits now the last years with Boise State and Hawaii going to BCS bowls. I think what LT wants is WAC expanding with an eastern division and adding teams like NT, ASU etc so it would benefit them as far as travel. I am not sure if the WAC is considering that but I think that is what LT would like to see.

I am not so sure if North Texas or Ark-State would be too keen on that, either.

I cannot imagine why stAte would ever want to try the WESTERN conference affiliation again. It did not work well the first time so, hopefully, stAte will stay in a SOUTHERN oriented conference with regional teams. To each his own, but I live out West and it is silly for Southern schools to be in a WESTERN conference, IMHO.
