Quote:DEKALB, Ill. --- No one is happier about the Northern Illinois starting camp with a healthy defensive line than senior end Larry English.

English was the only constant last season on a line that had 10 different players struck with injuries last year.

LOVE THIS QUOTE!!
"I'd like to see teams try and run to the opposite side like they did last year because if they do, we've got eight good, strong guys on this line that I know can play, are talented, and dependable," English said.

Can English be a mid to late first rounder in the draft next April? I think its a possibility pending his performance during his senior year.

My Huskie heart says he will be drafted in the first or second round. my head tells me hes one of those tweener guys, a la demarcus ware, but not as freakishly talented.. and that he would probably be a second day guy if he doesnt fall off the radar this year.

i read a couple of 2009 mock drafts right after the 08 draft and they had english as a 3rd or 4th rounder. right now hes probably in the top 10 or so DEs in the country, so hopefully he can increase his stock this year with some help around him.
