They had a practice/scrimmage from about 9 til noon, with officials working the practice. Nothing much happened, alot of the 2nd, 3rd team and red shirts and freshman getting most the time on the field. Holtzclaw, Fort and D. White didnt practice because of minor injuries. Sanders busted a couple nice punt returns, Welch and Sherrer looked good. Thayer looked real good, nice hands and tough to bring down. Carithers buried a 40 yd FG with plenty of room to spare, I thought Wyatt had a real good day also. Though most of the 1st teamers didnt play, I thought it was the offense which dominated the play and I mean most of the 1st teamers on offense and defense. First time Ive ever seen Genyk close a practice session.

Thanks for your input! Any long runs from scrimage by the RB's. I think Sherrer will contribute this season, the competition at RB will be a season long thing.
Glad to hear about Thayer, hope he plays a lot this season, need to get the TE's involved in the offense.

RE: Recent Football Practice
Im not recalling any long runs from scrimmage by RB`s and even any long passes thrown. Thayer got some good yardage after the catch. Hard to explain I guess, it was a very controlled and kinda boring scrimmage...lol...
