Now that the official training is right around the corner, anyone have any observations on the summer workouts this year? How was the overall participation and did any incoming freshmen or redshirts do well?

I understand the participation was the same as last years, very high! From Spring ball until now it was mainly weightlifting, conditioning, healing, etc. Alot of the kids came on weekends to workout and then after graduation came in and stayed with some players, so it sounds like the commitment is there, never really heard any names about being impressive.

I have run into a few players this summer. They said that over 90% of the team and 75% of the freshmen have been on campus this summer hitting the weights and taking classes. The guys seem stoked about the prospects for this year. I do not recall such extensive summer participation 5/10/15 years ago.

The guys look to be in great shape. Bigger, faster, and hopefully even better!

I know there was some concern when our strength coach left for CMU, sounds like his replacement is a doing a great job!

He is doing a great job. Participation has doubled since he left......wonder how CMU's participation has dropped?
