Quote:But everybody wasn't on the Big East board talking crap like you were.

You act as if there are a lot of people on these boards, there is not.

Quote:I don't know, but here's a question, why is USF, despite all of those disadvantages, putting a Top 25 team on the field and UCF sn't, has a better attendance then UCF, is beating UCF regularly, being set up for marquee national television games and UCF isn't, and is in a BCS conference and UCF isn't? Once again, not bashing, just thing about that.

Not sure what product on the field has to do with budget, I am pretty sure that the athletic budget of Utah is smaller then both UCF and USF, however, it did not stop them from beating OU in the Fiesta bowl.

USF better attendance, that would be because of the Buc's larger stadium, UCF averaged 44,018 which is 97.17% of the stadium capacity. Let's see what USF does without the help of UCF and WVU this year. Going back to my other point, USF has good attendance, but are they making money off of those tickets.

Quote:Probably because UCF has more expenses to pay then USF? And USF's budget could very easily increase by 10 million if USF wins the Big East conference. The Big East's new television deal will increase the budget significantly in and of itself. The football deal alone doubles. Then the basketball deal will pump in an extra 3 or 4 million.

Huh?
Do you understand what a budget is? It is the balancing of revenues with expenses. To have the expenses, you must have the revenues to pay for it, thus the term "balanced budget." Yes UCF has more expenses with the football stadium but that MUST mean they have more revenues as well. Also, what is with the "if's"? Hey, IF UCF win the BCS national championship, they will get $18MM more. That would just mean that UCF earned more money then they budgeted. You numbers are pure B.S.

Quote:Haha! Here comes STK looking for a reason for USF's attendance success. Giving away tickets!?

Just asking the questions of where all the money is?

Quote:Probably because the majority of UCF's budget is used to pay off expenses like stadium and facilities?

Oh but not true again as pointed out by Cuban. UCF's debt service last year on the stadium was just over $1MM and never going to more than $4MM in any single year. Thus, it will never be more than 20% of the budget, but considering that this years number is more around $2MM, that number is closer to 6% of the budget.

Quote:We know the difference, apparently you don't.

No, you don't know the difference.

LOL
The difference is that we wil kick your butts once again. and you and your friends will be making all kind of excuses.
Funny you mention those transfers because Pupello hasnt even played yet, Taylor had 147 yds rushing total.
As for Ford you realize that he went to Hargrave academy before USF. I believe your squad has signed a few from there. So your eligibility question is once again blowing smoke.
Here is a hint no one on this board cares about UCF or what they are doing. So bend over and get ready to take up where you like it for the FOURTH straight time.

I changed my post because I hate getting into that debate and I screwed up by doing so. But since you brought it up, where would USF have been without McKenzie and Schmitt last year?

As to Ford, please, how does a kid that does not make grades out of high school, does not make grades yet again out of prep school, tranfers to a community college, all of a sudden get honor roll grades his first semester in college?

Also, you did not get Ford out of Hargrave, you got him out of Copiah-Linoln Community College where he was not playing football. He did not make grades out of Hargrave to get into Bama for the second time.

We played them once in basketball back in '83. Probably canoeing or some other insane sport, who knows. I can handle Memphis fans or ECU fans or someone like that busting our @sses because we have a history with them in a slew of sports, but UCF fans!? Heck, they rant about USF cancelling the series as if they have a long and storied history with them. They've played all of THREE TIMES. You would have thought that USF was cancelling a series that started in 1965 or something.

Again....its UCiF fans who have decided to wander over to this board and crap all over it. If Marshall, Xavier or Ohio State fans came on this board and stated blatant lies about your athletic program would you sit back and do nothing. You don't see me, Cuban or most other USF fans posting on the C-DOA board. In fact, that board has zero tolerance for @-CDOA smack.

If the board as a whole has a problem with thread s like this getting hijacked by a wayward UCiF....email the moderators to have them take out the trash. That would go a long way to stopping USF related threads from being hijacked by the usual suspects.

USF's revenues were 28.1 mill expenses 27.846 mill.
Now that was 06-07
So our 08-09 budget which is the one you are using for UCF would be TWO years after that 28 mill. So can USF's budget gone up by 6 mill in TWO years? Hmmm probably.
By the way UCF charges HIGHER athletic fees than USF almost $1.50 more per credit. So you figure out how much more that would be with a 45,000 student body taking full credits for a year.

Still the bottomline is that this is about USF and NOT about UCF, We will continue setting attendance records as the years go by.

I can't find the link in the Tribune or Times but USF's budget for this just ended fiscal year was around $35-million and will likely grow by another 10%-15% this year.

USF's revenues will continue to grow b/c of our BCS affiliation and winning on the field. Basketball will also continue to grow and add to the budget. The future looks bright for USF, on and off the field. Whereas for UCiF they are pretty much capped out on growth. That is, until they join the SEC...03-lmfao

In USF's defense, it's the UCF fans who keep starting this. Even other Big East fans are getting annoyed with it. When you turn around there's a UCF fan starting a thread on this board posting negative USF news, complaining about USF not extending the series, listening to UCF fans trash USF players, the coach, the coaches' personal life, and the program. Basically what we have to deal with when it comes to Miami-OH and Xavier fans.

There have been plenty of opportunities for USF fans this off season post smack about UCiF, ie players getting arrested. Instead, we don't really care. Our real rivals are in the BigEast not in Orlando.

Well from the Orlando Sentinel article written just a couple of weeks ago, USF's budget was $28 million but you can't seem to find a link so we will just believe you.

I was wrong?

I was not wrong about the 10,000 walk up tickets.

I was not wrong about the athletic budgets.

I was not wrong about where Mike Ford went.

I was not wrong about the facility costs.

And I did not start this crap, you Claw did. Go back and read everything again. Neither Mike the Knight or myself went negative, you are always the first to go negative. And yes, we do make fun of your little fan base.
