Blazerfan13 is correct (since HE brought it up) I am sorry to say but I think one of the ones he is thinking about will get himself eligible. I am just not a big fan of airing our dirty laundry. I don't think it's appropriate since they do have a chance to get eligible. No names.

1. Webb will be one of the best QBs in the country.

2. The o line will be stellar. 2 deep. OK, maybe 1.6667 deep.
And Webb will have twice as many yards as the running backs (see #1)

3. We will know if the defense has improved and what is needed. Expecting a work in process that should solidify by Memphis. Schumann is a sharp guy. And he has Dunbar.
Don't discount the effects of tough senior leadership.

Of the ones I know of, there are four total, three of which had significant playing time last year (3 starters to be exact); the fourth played sparingly. No names to protect the identity of players. All four are not eligible and only one has an outside shot at getting qualified this summer. Not to be the bearer of bad news, but it is what it is. Goes to show the athletic department has to fund more academic personnel to stay on top of these issues. We cannot expect coaches who are out recruiting, gameplanning, and everything else they do to catch all of these student-athletes who are slipping up in the classroom. The reason this is a problem is the sheer lack of numbers in academic support.

Hate to break up your pouting, but all this has already been done. I don't know any of the athletes or their standing in school, but the academic support is already light years ahead of where it was. There are also many new steps in place that haven't been widely publicized. Now, they may not be funded on the level of some universities, but there is no reason for an athlete to be having a problem now.

For those who are unfamiliar with how an athlete can not be eligible with no hope of having summer school help with reinstatement, the NCAA mandates that all student-athletes pass 24 credit hours in a given school year. However, 18 of the 24 hours must be passed in the fall and spring semesters. So, no more than 6 hours can be used in the summer to count towards the 24 total. The ones who are ineligible didn't get the 18 required hours passed in the spring and fall, therefore they cannot play no matter what they do this summer. Bryant is not one of the ones in jeopardy. He is a very good student. Sources are reliable, doubt it all you want.

Yeah I like the quarter system MUCH better.
