I had one but I am not sure what year it was. My was light doodoo brown and I was thankful that I even had a car. By the time I bought the car from a great uncle for $1500, I was logging about 250 miles a week on my bicycle. I lived near Homewood Park, worked 40+ hours at the Galleria, and went to school at UAB full/part time (whichever I was able to do). The best thing about the car was that I didn't have to worry about scratches or dents and dings. But you are right. That thing was practically indestructable.
