As a defense mechenism the MWC will likely offer some expansion slots to at least 2 schools Hawaii & Fresno St. This came up last year but a revenue poor MWC wasn't inclined to offer a piece of the pie to the two mentioned schools! However in order to lock up the two schools and prevent them from possible consideration in the Pac 10 (it's a joke) they will be included with certain conditions.

Isn't the travelling costs of playing at Hawaii in several sports a part of why the schools in the MWC left the WAC?

Hawall got left out of the mix because they refused to repair the "parking lot" astro turf. A stupid fude that until they hired June Jones cost them dearly. The only way they will be admitted it to meet the 16 sport 1A requirment and repair the turf. Fresno is a lock now that "Tark" is gone. The fude was over "prop 48" and certain atheletes with criminal tendencies. With that in the rear view mirror Fresno will be the Ist choice!
