So your are blaming the rise in sexual assaults on the fact that there are more women around to assault. I guess you feel the woman should just lay back and enjoy the ride as well.
Dude, comment one and comment two are completely unrelated. Why you choose to mix them is more
or
than MY comments.
The last time we were in serious prolonged combat with our soldiers under this kind of stress was Vietnam. The number of Women "in action" was virtually nil. PEOPLE under stress need relief... and yes, sex is a stress reducer. I doubt prostitution is a big business in the middle east, but what do I know. It CERTAINLY was in SouthEast Asia in the 60's and 70's. Yes... more women PRESENT means by simple math that the probability of them being assaulted is increased. This comment has NOTHING to do with their actions... it is simple math.
How many women are assaulted in all-male prisons versus the USAF Academy?? Do you believe that prisoners are more respectful of women than Cadets?? Or is it a lack of opportunity at the prison that keeps those numbers down??
In order.... the likelihood of sexual assault
of a woman happens...
Men under MORE stress with women present >
Men under LESS stress with women present >
No women present, regardless of the stress level.
So yes... put women there, and increase the stress, and you will get more assaults. The lack of porn may actually INCREASE the incidence as it removes one of the alternative sources of stress reduction.
Fo Shizzle.... obviously, if you are stoned on duty, you are less likely to perform your duties as a soldier proficiently, thus you ARE potentially causing injury to others... but other than that, I generally agree with your comment. Off-Duty soldiers can certainly drink beer.
