Kennesaw State Recruits
According to new poster ksubbfan Matt Heramb (6'10" soph from Auburn) has decided to transfer to Kennesaw. Hopefully this is true...if it is, it is a great sign for the program. Perhaps Tanner Jacobs departure has a gold lining as it opened up a spot for a transfer. Heramb was a big time prospect coming out of high school.

Our first year we are eligible for the tournament, we are looking pretty dang good. Here is a preview...mind you that I am not trying to put 1st string, 2nd string, by placing our players in a certain order in the depth chart, but more importantly just looking at the depth of each position. We are going to be loaded:

PG: McConnell (Jr) / Dixon (So)
SG: Cummings (So) / Chambers (So)
SF: JMac (Sr) / Whipple (Sr)
PF: Mitchell (Sr) / Allison (Jr)
C: Green (So) / Heramb (Jr)

And we have three scholarships to give with some good offers out there. We know that we have an offer out to the 6'6" kid from MS that is considered the best wing defender in the state. If we combine him with a juco guard and a juco big man then the league better watch out. We are already looking a whole lot better. If we are able to capitalize on this momentum and round out with strong finish the entire coaching staff is to be commended...what am I saying. So far this year we have signed 3 kids that are all mid-major plus players. Green, Cummings, and Heramb combined with our other players are going to not only give us a chance to win the A-Sun tournament, but provide a tough first round test...

What an offseason. The future is so bright I have to wear shades....

RE: Matt Heramb inks with Kennesaw
I'm excited too..but with so many players leaving the team every year I'm going to focus more on next years depth chart. I'm not sure how good Chambers or Dixon will be and I still don't know for sure if Greem/Cummings are going to make it here. Not trying to be a downer but we had posts last year pouring with optimism over Daugherty, Keonte, and Cornett... talking about how much they will improve over time etc..

On a positive note this is a huge sign. He'll contribute this year by giving us a good big man to go against in practice and will most def make his mark the year after.

What I have been told chambers looks a lot like the Florence kid from Mercer but not as explosive. He can shoot it and get to the hold and he is strong with the ball. Also I have heard tha Green is elgible. They are waiting on the ACT score to come in but he is ready. Dixon is the question mark. I have heard from a lot of people that he is good. I have a question about his size and ball handling skill. Way to small to play a 2 not a true point either. Also I know of a couple of guards that have offers on the table but they are visiting bigger school. If Ingle can pull a couple of guards in he should get salesman of the year for what he has done. Can't wait to see what happens on Wed.

He is still the wild card. I believe the last I heard it was 80/20 that he will be ready. This kid is what Kennesaw needs, he is high flyer (jumps better than ronnell) and can get to the basket. Has been working on his jump shot. If he can develop more of a 3 point shot we can play him at a 2. This will put us over the edge because we have no one on the team that is as athletic as him. If he had any grades coming out of high school he could have went ACC, SEC, or CUSA.

Also I heard the kid from MS is a go. He is a pure shooter. From what I heard he can hit from anywhere on the court, and he is tall enough to get it off with little space (More like 6'5 than 6'6). He needs to get bigger and quicker but looks like a good prospect. Might not be great his 1st year but he has a ton of potential.

That would be awesome if true. I'll keep my fingers crossed on this kid and Cummings.

Ksubb fan- You seem to have a lot of inside sources so I was just curious. How has Mitchell looked this year in practice? He's obviously got size but we're going to need a big impact from him regardless of who all we bring in.

Mitchell looks good. He is out of shape but that is what happens when you sit out a year. What is suprising to me is his athletic ability. He also has great range on his jumper.

It looks like a good pickup.

I'm more excited for Mitchell though. I've seen him play, and he looks great. As ksubbfan said though he's out of shape, which doesn't surprise me. But i'm sure he'll be back in gametime shape by next year. He's got a good babyhook shot 2.
